Flying Helicopters has always been a dream but let’s face it. . . it’s more of a pipe dream than a reality. Or at least it used to be. We believe that it shouldn’t be so difficult to find real information and struggle with getting started.
There is a problem though. Yeah there are all sorts of jokes about gravity, money, etc. but truth is, had someone spelled it out to me when I was in first grade; enamored with the local Aeromedical unit doing an approach to a helipad at the hospital, my life would have been a lot different.
So what’s the problem? Information. There is a lot of it out there, however it’s not easily compiled and there’s a ton of it by people voicing their unvalidated opinions based on “what my friend said.” What’s it like flying? What kind of license do I need? What kind of careers are there? How long is training? When can I fly Aeromedical? Where’s the closest flight school? Can I afford to buy a helicopter? On and on and on. We have spent relentless amounts of time researching, trying to find answers to these questions and more.
Heli-Network is born. Our goal is to take the headache we went through and streamline it into one website with you in mind. From the first download of “The Rotorcraft Flying Handbook” to the purchase of your 3rd S-76 (we dream big) we intend to make the process simple, informative and most importantly streamlined.
